Charles Camillo - Executive Vice President

Charles Camillo serves as the Executive Vice-President of the Midwest Flood Control Association. He is the former longtime trusted advisor to the Mississippi River Commission, a presidentially appointed commission established by Congress to oversee navigation and flood control improvements on the Mississippi River. Since 2002, Mr. Camillo has served the Mississippi River Commission in various capacities as Executive Director/Executive Assistant, Legislative & Congressional Liaison, and Historian. Mr. Camillo, at the request of the Honorable R.D. James, the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, also served a detail as a “Special Assistant” to Secretary James at the Pentagon. During his career, Mr. Camillo provided strategic guidance on critical engineering policy, legislative and political issues; projected command influence throughout the organization; and fostered lasting relationships built on trust, transparency, and frequent dialogue with the public, partners, and members of Congress.

Tim Maiers - Executive Director 

Tim Maiers serves as the Executive Director of the Midwest Flood Control Association. He also served as the Executive Director of the Upper Mississippi, Illinois & Missouri Rivers Association. Tim farms with his family near Payson, Illinois raising corn, soybeans, and hay and backgrounding cattle.  After graduating from the University of Illinois with an Ag Economics degree, Tim started his career in 1994 as the Manager of the Christian County Farm Bureau. In 1998 he began working for the Illinois Pork Producers Association as the Director of Public Relations, where he worked for 17 years. Tim and his wife, LeAnn, started Maiers Ag Consulting in 2015 and have worked on a variety of projects including organizing Open Houses for new livestock farms on behalf of the Illinois Livestock Development Group, as well as developing a Resource Guide on the IL EPA Livestock Rules, and writing a book “Your Food, My Adventure” for fellow farmer Phil Bradshaw.
